HRC Mining Consultants is a division of Hussein Ranchhod &
Co., a legal law firm registered in terms of the laws of Zimbabwe.
It is a member of the law Society of Zimbabwe, the International
Bar Association and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators,
United Kingdom. The principals of this firm are Terence Hussein
& Paresh Ranchhod, supported by a dedicated staff team.
On technical and non-legal matters relating to mining matters
(such as geological reports) we are complemented by qualified
geologists, engineers, surveyors, metallurgists and assayers

principals have 20 years of legal and business experience. Terence
Hussein served as a Board member of the largest integrated iron
and steel plant in Southern Africa, Zimbabwe Iron and Steel
Company (ZISCO). He also served as the Deputy Chair of the Board
of the largest iron-ore mine, in Zimbabwe, Buchwa Iron Mining
Company. ZISCO and Buchwa employed 3500 people at the time and
had a production capacity of 40 000 tones of steel per month.
Terence also served a board member of Zimchem (Pvt) Limited
that employed 500 people. Zimchem is an industrial chemical
producer and it ran the only Benzol Plant between the Sahara
and the Limpopo River. In Africa it is the only producer of
Benzene, Toluene and Xylene in this region. In 2006, Zimchem
produced 2388 tonnes of Benzene. The managerial exposure in
these companies gave Terence a unique and practical understanding
of mining and downstream industry.
Terence also served as a member of a 10 member commission that
ran the affairs of the capital city of Zimbabwe Harare, for
four years. Harare has a population of two million people. Terence
also served as the

Steel, Botswana and Monarch Steel in Zambia for three
years. Terence has handled mining affairs locally as well
as for clients in Canada, the United States of America
Terence has advised the government of Zimbabwe on legal
matters relating to the environment, broadcasting, mining
and agriculture. Terence has been engaged as a private
advisor and represented numerous cabinet ministers, as
well as the President of Zimbabwe.
Paresh is a qualified legal practitioner and Arbitrator.
Paresh has extensive experience and knowledge of the mining
industry having been called upon to structure mining ventures
and deals for clients in China, India, South Africa, and
the United Kingdom. In 2008, Paresh handled a mining portfolio
valued at US$400 million and resulted in the exchange
of US$85 million between transacting parties. Paresh’s
specialty is Special Grants, Tributes and Investment Compliance.
